Thats right! Throughout the Summer we are brewing a Pina Colada sour beer to help put you in the tropical mood and to help those in need. This beer was inspired by nurse Hannah who on the last day of Colin's chemotherapy treatment said "Hey, you know what would make a really good sour beer?? How about a pina colada beer?" Naturally that sounded incredible and now that Sour Not Sorry is official we decided thats the beer we wanna drink all season!
As an extra bonus, Every keg and case of cans sold a portion of the proceeds will be used to help support cancer care and research in the Boston area. So while you're enjoying this brew you will also be helping those in need go on to live their dreams as well.
Hannah Colada is brewed with fresh Pineapple puree, Brown Sugar, Sea Salt and Coconut Rum Extract! We also are working with Mass.Hops extraction to add their Citra Co2 hop extract which already has a heavy punch of Pineapple flavor to begin with!
We have also decided to make this our first Gose which is a sour ale brewed with sea salt. The sea salt puts you even closer to a beach vibe, It helps to boost a sense of refreshment and pairs great with citrus fruit. Gose are really popular in the summer time and lots of you sour beer fans have been asking if we had one available so this just felt like a good time.
Every account that pours Hannah Colada has received a custom Pina Colada spray paint can handle. This handle is bright and really catches your eye at the bar! We wanted to really showcase this beer all Summer and do it justice. Octophant will still be brewed and in many cases poured from this tap handle however we plan to keep all of our accounts stocked up with both beers.
We are currently working with our label artist to come up with a sweet label for Hannah Colada. Our idea is kinda a retro 50s nurse by a pina colada pool. Hannah has agreed to use features of her face on the label and we cannot wait to see the end result. We are planning on sending out the first Hannah Colada cans mid to late May through the end of August when we will replace the beer with our sour pumpkin pie ale ( Pucker Patch ) but... lets stick with Summer i'm so over the cold!
