Owner/Founder/Brewer Colin Crociati has 10 years of brewing experience under his belt. He has worked for 4 different major craft breweries in Massachusetts. Colin started his brewing career back in college making small batches of beer rather then just going to the liquor store like any sensible person! Colin soon discovered the world of sour beer and fell in love with the possibilities it could achieve. The first sour beer recipe he ever brewed was called "Total Deutschebag!" a sour smoke ale which he has been perfecting it since 2016. Deutschebag sparked the interest to see what other sour beers could be created and the idea for an all sour beer brewery was born! Plans were put on hold however when Colin received news that he had stage 2 Hodgkin lymphoma. He spent that year fighting and the dream kept his spirit burning.
Thanks to the unbelievable doctors in Boston, Colin was cured and got back on his feet doing what he loved to do, make great sour beer for great people. As a thank you to the Nurses and Doctors who saved hit life, Colin plans on releasing charity beers to help with cancer care and research in the Boston Area.
Colin's family supported his dream and gave him a plot of land to build a Nano brewery shed in their backyard! With the help of our Kickstarter supporters we build the entire building in 3 months. The brewery has all the bells and whistles to make fantastic sour beer. We only use stainless steel for our fermenters to give you the maximum flavor and cleanness! We are also looking into getting a visitable spot somewhere in Plymouth. Join us as we follow the art of the tart!
